Since launching in April 2020, the trendy new invite-only audio app Clubhouse continues to soar in popularity. In January 2021, the hip new Apple-based app was evaluated as a billion-dollar social media network platform. With each passing week and month, Clubhouse appears to be a new technological mainstay rather than an ephemeral flash in the pan.

Clubhouse also continues to draw in a slew of high-profile celebrities in various avenues of entertainment, including the film biz, music industry, stand-up comedy circuit, battle rap community, entrepreneurial realm, and many more.

Mark Zuckerberg

With a million followers and counting already, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has used his Clubhouse account to discuss everything from the nature of virtual reality and augmented reality to the future of technology.

It’s interesting that Zuckerberg has utilized a different platform, but as his business model changes, so too does his understanding of how to use celebrity apps like Clubhouse.

The singer, songwriter, rapper, and music producer addresses the industry with unique insight. It’s absolutely worth checking out, and is an intelligent use of the platform, considering other social media apps might not have felt like the right fit.

CNN host and political commentator Van Jones uses a Clubhouse account to speak on the nature of American politics, community activism, COVID-19, and a host of pressing issues that face the country after one of the most tumultuous years in history.

It was a demonstration of how the social media app could bring people together and an indication that conventional media, within unconventional times, didn’t quite hold up to the task for the likes of celebrity Clubhouse users like Jones.

Atlanta-based mumble rapper 21 Savage has also joined Clubhouse much to the delight of fans, who have continued to want further access to this talented musician.

In December 2020, he moderated a heated debate between TV personality DJ Akademiks and Philly-based rapper Meek Mill over the negative influence Akademiks has on the hip-hop culture.

Bow Wow entered a Clubhouse room on December 6, 2020, to speak about everything from how he rose to prominence as a child rap and movie star, his evolution as an artist, and some of the controversies that have circled him on social media.

While he hasn’t really made an impact on the app since, it’s definitely something worth revisiting, to see how the social media platform can be used in this manner.

Ashton Kutcher

Punk’d and That 70s Show star Ashton Kutcher was one of the first famous celebs to embrace Clubhouse when it launched in 2020. He’s been quite active on the platform ever since.

Known to broach any topic, Kutcher might discuss his beloved Chicago Bears or speak about his two-decade Hollywood career. He’s an all-rounder on that front, with fans just as interested in his personal life as they are his film credits.

On February 11, 2021, Musk announced that he and Kanye West will soon join each other for a Clubhouse conversation. With the businessman now turning to Twitter, it’s unlikely the celebrity Clubhouse user will continue to hype the competition.

Since joining the app in 2020, rapper Meek Mill has been on an apology tour for his various CH rantings and ravings.

Aside from the aforementioned DJ Akademiks debate, Mill has caught flak for discussing Nicki Minaj and shouting in a “Philly clubhouse” room. Clubhouse served as a stage for him to continue to atone for his past actions.

Lupe Fiasco

Chicago-based emcee Lupe Fiasco recently unveiled a freestyle rap called “Mobb Deep” that he created in a Clubhouse Room called Rhymen Shop #2.
